It was in the tenth year of Hijra . Muslims having finished the ceremony of Haj along with the Holy Prophet of Islam , Muhammad (peace be upon him) , which was called Hajjatul Wida , the farewell Haj , were returning to the Holy city of the Prophet , Medina .
When Prophet�s caravan arrived at the territory of Rabeq , 3 miles away from Johfa , which is the gathering point of the pilgrims , the arch Angel Gibraeel came down to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) in a place called "Ghadir khom" carrying the following verse :
يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَبِّكَ وَإِن لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ
�O Messenger! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord . And if you do not , then you have not conveyed His Message . Allah will protect you from mankind
Surah Al- Ma?idah , verse : 67
The order of dismounting was issued for all the caravans . All the pilgrims stayed there . By noon , the weather was scorchingly hot . The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) offered the Noon Prayer along with the congregation . After that , as people surrounded him from everywhere , he settled on to a high spot which was made by the shackles of camels and rendered a public sermon with an audible tone and said :
"Oh , People! Time is imminent that I answer the call of time and take eternal leave from you
. I am accountable and you are responsible
Then he explained some valuable advises and commanded : �I leave two valuable things among you; one of them is the Book of God (the holy Qur�an) and the other is my clan . These two will never be separated from each other . Oh people! Do not take lead over the Qur�an and my clan and in the stage of performance , don�t be negligent . If you do so , you will be perished .
At this moment , he held the hand of Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) , raised him and introduced him to all of the people who were there and then said :
Then the Messenger of Allah continued : "Do I not have more right over the believers than what they have over themselves?" People cried and answered : "Yes , O' Messenger of God . " Then Prophet (PBUH) held up the
hand of Ali and said : "Whoever I am his leader Mawla) , Ali is his leader (Mawla) . O' God , love those who love him , and be hostile to those who are hostile to him . "" .
مَنْ کُنْتُ مَوْلاهُ فَهذا عَلِي مَوُلاهُ اَللَّهُمَّ والِ مَنْ والاهُ وَ عادِ مَنْ عادهُ و...
Then the Angle of Revelation (Gabreal) came down and carried the verse of :
اَلْيوْمَ اَکْمَلْتُ لَکُمْ دينَکُمْ .
"Today I have perfected your religion and completed my bounty upon you , and I was satisfied that Islam be your religion . " (Qur�an 5 : 3)
And
that day became immortal and epic �making in the history of Islam . Yes , Ghadir was recognized as the day of immortal epic , guardianship , Imamate , executorships , brotherhood , the day of velour and bravery , moral heroism , protection , satisfaction and clarity . The day of blessing , thanks giving(to God) , congratulation and felicitation , delight and joy; the day of dedication of present , promise and agreement , renewal of friendly relations; the day of completion of religion and proclamation of legitimacy; The day of driving of Satan; the day of introducing of the way and guidance; the day of experiment , hopelessness of enemy and hopefulness of the friend; and in short , it is the day of Islam and Qur�an and family and a day in which real followers of life-giving school of Islam honor and congratulate each other .
It is anecdotal from Hadith traditions that our Holy Imams (Peace be upon them) celebrated that day and they had special ceremonies to mark this day , something may be similar to Nourooz celebrations of Iranians .
It is narrated by Fiaz ibnu Mohammad Toosi that the day of Ghadir he arrived in the presence of eighth Imam (Imam Reza , Peace be upon him) . He saw that a group of special guests were at the presence of Imam Reza and the holy Imam invited them for "Iftar"(a religious ceremony to break one�s fast) at his home . Also he sent food , clothes , shoes
, rings and many other presents to their homes and they were delightful , joyous mood . Imam described excellences of that day (Ghadir-e- khum) to them (1) .
In another Hadith , it is narrated that : One day during the rule of Imam Ali , peace be up him , Friday and Ghadir feast fell on the same day . Imam Ali read a lengthy sermon and then said : "When this assembly finishes , all of you will return to your homes . God has mercy on you , Share the blessings with your family and friends . Thank God for this blessing that he has bestowed upon you . Do associate with family so that the Lord helps you more . Do favors to friends that the Lord makes your friendship permanent . May Lord reward you in manifolds . You will not find another blessing similar to this [day of Ghadir] in other days .
Showing kindness will bring you forgiveness of God and His kindness . Share from the gifted wealth with
your brothers and family , as much as you can on this day .
Keep your face always smiling . When you meet each other , share rejoices and thanks God for His blessings . Go and do a lot of favours to those who have pinned their hopes on you . And be generous to share your food and dish with your inferiors . Put in to practice this uniformity and equality as much as possible , as the reward
of a coin given in charity is equal to thousand coins on this day .
The God has placed fasting as an recommended deed (of certain religious percepts) and has promised big reward for it .
If somebody respond to the need of his brothers before they ask for it and do favour with desire and delight , his reward will be the same as if he fasted this day or has spent the night with worship till the morning . And one who gives Iftar (breaking one's fast) to a fasting person , it is like this that he has given Iftar to a group of people .
When you meet each other greet with Salam , shake hands and congratulate the blessing that has been given to you by the Lord . These words must be sent to those who are not present and do not hear by those who are present and listen .
Rich must support the vulnerable and the powerful must support the weak . The holy Prophet (peace be up on him) has commanded me these things . �(2)
The Imam (peace be up on him) said this in his Friday sermon and every day Friday became the day remembering this great feast . Later Imam came to the home of Imam Hussein . They prepared food to those needy and others . Imam�s followers returned to their families with his gifts . (3)
We hope the day will come when all Muslims , especially Muslims in Iran , mark the day of feast as
the biggest feast of themselves and honor this day in the way which is necessary and appropriate .

Ghadir in the Qur?an
Today (the day of Ghadir khum) I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed my blessing up on you and I have recognized Islam as your religion .
Surah Al-Ma�idah : 3 .
رَوى زيادُ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قالَ:
دَخَلتُ عَلى اَبِي عَبْدِ اللّهِ فَقُلْتُ: لِلْمُسْلِمينَ عيدٌ غَيْرَ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْفِطْرِ وَالْاَضْحى؟
قالَ: نَعَمْ، اَلْيَوْمُ الَّذي نَصَبَ فيهِ رَسُولُ اللّهِ اَميرَالْمُؤْمِنينَ.
مصباح المتهجّد:736.
زياد بن محمد گويد:
بر امام صادق عليه السلام وارد شدم و گفتم: آيا مسلمانان عيدي غير از عيد قربان و عيد فطر و جمعه دارند؟ امام عليه السلام فرمود:
آري، روزي كه رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم اميرمؤمنان عليه السلام را (به خلافت و ولايت) منصوب كرد.
Ziad ibnu Muhammad said:
I came to Imam Sadeq (Peace be up on him) and asked:
‘Do Moslems have any other feast other than Eid ul qurban, Eid ul Fitr and Fridays?’
Imam (peace be up on him) replied: ‘Yes, the day in which the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) appointed the commander of the faithful (Imam Ali) to the caliphate and guardianship.’
"Misbahul Mutehajjid-736"
قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ(ع):
يَوْمُ غَديرِ خُمٍّ اَفْضَلُ اَعْيادِ اُمَّتِي وَهُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذي اَمَرَنِيَ اللّهُ تَعالى ذِكْرَهُ فيهِ بِنَصْبِ اَخيى عَليِّ بْنِ اَبِي طالِبٍ عَلَماً لاُمَّتِي، يَهْتَدُونَ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِي وَهُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذي اَكْمَلَ اللّهُ فيهِ الدّينَ وَاَتَمَّ عَلَى اُمَّتِي فيهِ النِّعْمَةَ وَرَضِيَ لَهُمُ الاِسْلام ديناً.
امالى صدوق: 125، ح8.
رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم فرمود:
روز غدير خم برترين عيدهاي امّت من است و آن روزي است كه خداوند بزرگ دستور داد؛ آن روز برادرم علي بن ابي طالب را به عنوان پرچمدار (و فرمانده) امّتم منصوب كنم، تا بعد از من مردم توسط او هدايت شوند، و آن روزي است كه خداوند در آن روز دين را تكميل و نعمت را بر امّت من تمام كرد و اسلام را به عنوان دين براي آنان پسنديد.
The Messenger of God (peace be up on him) said:
The day of Ghadir khom is the most superior feast of my ummah and it is the day in which the Great Lord commanded me to appoint my brother, Ali ibnu Abi Talib as the guide and leader of my community so that people be guided by him after me. And it is the day in which the Lord perfected the religion and completed his blessing to my nation and selected Islam as their religion.
Amali of sheikh Sadoq, p. 125, number of tradition 8
عَنِ الصَّادِقِ(ع) قالَ:
هُوَ عيدُ اللّهِ الاَكْبَرُ، وَما بَعَثَ اللّهُ نَبِيّاً اِلاّ وَتَعَيَّدَ فِي هذَا الْيَومِ وَعَرَفَ حُرْمَتَهُ وَاِسْمُهُ فِى السَّماءِ يَوْمُ الْعَهْدِ الْمَعْهُودِ وَفِي الاَرْضِ يَوْمُ الْميثاقِ الْمأخُوذِ وَالْجَمْعِ الْمَشْهُودِ.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
روز غدير خم عيد بزرگ خداست، خدا پيامبري مبعوث نكرده، مگر اينكه اين روز را عيد گرفته و عظمت آن را شناخته و نام اين روز در آسمان، روز عهد و پيمان و در زمين، روز پيمان محكم و حضور همگاني است.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
The day of Ghadir khom is the day of great feast of God . All the Prophets appointed by God Almighty celebrated this day and has recognized its dignity . And its name is covenant and treaty in the heaven and allegiance and participation of people on the earth .
Vasaele Shia , 5 : 224 , number of tradition 1
قيلَ لاَبِى عَبْدِ اللّهِ(ع):
لِلْمُؤمِنين مِنَ الاَعْيادِ غَيْرُ الْعيدَيْنِ وَ الْجُمُعَةِ؟
قالَ: نَعَمْ لَهُمْ ما هُوَ اَعْظَمُ مِنْ هذا، يَوْمٌ اُقيمَ اَميرُالْمُؤْمِنينَ فَعَقَدَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللّهِ الْوِلايَةَ فِى اَعْناقِ الرِّجالِ وَالنِّساءِ بِغَديرِ خُمٍّ.

به امام صادق عليه السلام گفته شد:
آيا مؤمنان غير از عيد فطر و قربان و جمعه عيد ديگري دارند؟ فرمود:
آري، آنان عيد بزرگتر از اينها هم دارند و آن روزي است كه اميرالمؤمنين عليه السلام در غدير خم بالا برده شد و رسول خدا مسأله ولايت را بر گردن زنان و مردان قرار داد.
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) was once asked :
�Do Muslims have any other feast other than Eid ul Fitr , Qurban and Fridays?�
He replied : �Yes , they have a feast bigger than these feasts and it is a day in which the commander of the faithful was elevated and the Messenger of God (peace be up on him) placed the responsibility of Guardianship (wilayat) upon the shoulders of men and women . �

عَنْ عَمّارِ بْنِ حَريزٍ قالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلي اَبىِ عَبْدِ اللّهِ فِي يَوْمِ الثّامِنِ عَشْرٍ مِنْ ذِي الْحَجَّةِ فَوَجَدْتُهُ صائِماً فَقالَ لي: هذا يَوْمٌ عَظيمٌ عَظَّمَ اللّهُ حُرْمَتَهُ عَلَى الْمُؤمِنينَ وَأَكْمَلَ لَهُمْ فيهِ الدّينَ وَتَمَّمَ عَلَيْهِمُ النِّعْمَةَ وَجَدَّدَ لَهُمْ ما أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الْعَهْدِ وَالْميثاقِ.

عمار بن حريز گويد:
روز هجدهم ماه ذيحجه خدمت امام صادق عليه السلام رسيدم و آن حضرت را روزه يافتم. امام به من فرمود: امروز، روز بزرگي است، خداوند به آن عظمت داده و آن روز دين مؤمنان را كامل ساخت و نعمت را بر آنان تمام نمود و عهد و پيمان قبلي را تجديد كرد.
Ammar ibnu Hareez said :
On the eighteenth day of Dhul Haj (Twelfth Arabic lunar month) I came to Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) and found him fasting . He told me : �Today is a great day , God made it great as He perfected His religion for believers and completed His blessing to them . And the previous covenant and treaty renewed on this day . �
Misbahul Mutehajjid : 737
قالَ الرِّضا (ع):
حَدَّثَنِى اَبِى، عَنْ اَبيهِ قالَ:
إنَّ يَوْمَ الْغَديرِ فِي السَّماءِ اَشْهَرُ مِنْهُ فِي الاَرْضِ.

امام رضا عليه السلام فرمود:
پدرم به نقل از پدرش (امام صادق عليه السلام ) نقل كرد كه فرمود:
روز غدير در آسمان مشهورتر از زمين است.
Imam Reza (peace be up on him) said :
My father narrated from his father (Imam Sadeq , peace be up on him) to have said :
The day of Ghadir is more famous in the heaven than on the earth .
Misbahul Mutehajjid : 737
قالَ عَلىٌّ(ع):
إنَّ هذا يَوْمٌ عَظيمُ الشَّأْنِ، فيهِ وَقَعَ الْفَرَجُ، وَرُفِعَتِ الدُّرَجُ وَوُضِحَتِ الْحُجَجُ وَهُوَ يَوْمُ الايضاحِ وَالْاِفْصاحِ مِنَ الْمَقامِ الصُّراحِ، وَيَوْمُ كَمالِ الدّينِ وَ يوْمُ الْعَهْدِ الْمَعْهُودِ...
بحارالانوار،116:97.
على عليه السلام فرمود:
امروز (عيد غدير) روز بس بزرگي است.
در اين روز گشايش رسيده و منزلت (كساني كه شايسته آن بودند) بلندي گرفت و برهان هاي خدا روشن شد و از مقام پاك با صراحت سخن گفته شد و امروز روز كامل شدن دين و روز عهد و پيمان است.
Ali (peace be up on him) said :
�Today (Ghadir feast) is a great day . The relief has come on this day and the ranks (of those who were appropriate to it) elevated . And the proof of the Lord became clear . Comprehensible and unambiguous expression was delivered from the exalted and the purified . And today is the day of perfection of religion and the day of allegiance . �
Baharul anvar , 97 : Hadeeth 116
عَنِ الصّادِقِ(ع):
وَاللّهِ لَو عَرَفَ النّاسُ فَضْلَ هذَا الْيَوْمِ بِحَقيقَتِهِ لَصافَحَتْهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ فِى كُلِّ يَوْمٍ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ... وَمَا اَعْطَى اللَّهُ لِمَنْ عَرَفَهُ ما لايُحْصى بِعَدَدٍ.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
به خدا قسم اگر مردم فضيلت واقعي “روز غدير” را مي شناختند، فرشتگان روزي ده بار با آنان مصافحه مي كردند و بخششهاي خدابه كسي كه آن روز را شناخته، قابل شمارش نيست.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�By God , if people could recognize the real virtue of this (Ghadir day) , angles would shake hands with them ten times every day . The blessings of God to one who understands the significance of the day are countless and innumerable .
Misbahul Mutahajjid : 738
قالَ اَبُو عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع):
... وَ يَوْمُ غَديرِ بَيْنَ الْفِطْرِ وَالْاَضْحى وَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ كَالْقَمَرِ بَيْنَ الْكَواكِبِ.
اقبال سيد بن طاووس:466.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
... روز غدير خم در ميان روزهاي عيد فطر و قربان و جمعه همانند ماه در ميان ستارگان است.
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) said :
�The day of Ghadir among the days of Fetr , Qorban and Friday is similar to the moon among the stars . �
Iqbal , seyyed ibnu Tavoos : 466
قالَ اَبُو عَبْدِاللّه(ع):
اِذا كانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيامَةِ زَفَّتْ اَرْبَعَةُ اَيّامٍ اِلَى اللّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ كَما تَزِفُّ الْعَرُوسُ اِلى خِدْرِها: يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَ يَوْمَ الاَضْحى وَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ يَوْمَ غَديرِ خُمٍّ.
اقبال سيد بن طاووس:466.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
هنگامي كه روز قيامت برپا شود چهار روز بسرعت بسوي خدا مي شتابند همانطور كه عروس به حجله اش بسرعت مي رود.
آن روزها عبارتند از: روز عيد فطر و قربان و جمعه و روز غدير خم.
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) said :
�On the day of resurrection , four significant days go towards the Lord rapidly just as the bride go fast towards her bridal chamber . These are : The day of Eid Fitr , Qurban , Friday and the day of Ghadir khom . �
Iqbal , Sseyyed ebne Tavoos : 466
قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ(ص):
يا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمينَ لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ، اُوصي مَنْ آمَنَ بِي وَ صَدَّقَنِي بِوِلايَةِ عَليٍّ، اَلا اِنَّ وِلايَةَ عَلِيٍّ وِلايَتي وَ وِلايَتي وِلايَةَ رَبِّي، عَهْداً عَهِدَهُ اِلىَّ رَبِّي أبَلِّغُكُمُوهُ. وَ أمَرَنِى أنْ ....
بحارالانوار37: 141، ح35.
رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم (در روز غدير) فرمود:
اي مسلمانان! حاضران به غايبان برسانند: كسي را كه به من ايمان آورده و مرا تصديق كرده است، به ولايت علي سفارش مي كنم، آگاه باشيد ولايت علي، ولايت من است و ولايت من، ولايت خداي من است. اين عهد و پيماني بود از طرف پروردگارم كه فرمانم داد تا به شما برسانم.
The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said :
O Moslems! Those who are present here must pass this to those absent that :
�I introduce to those who believed me and accepted me as true , Ali�s guardianship . Be aware that Ali�s Guardianship is my guardianship and my guardianship is the guardianship of my God . This was a covenant and treaty from the part of my Lord that he ordered me to convey to you . �
Biharul Anvar , 37 : 14 , Number of Tradition 35
قالَ اَبُو عَبدِاللَّهِ(ع):
... وَاِنَّهُ الْيَوْمُ الَّذى اَقامَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ(ص) عَليّاً(ع) لِلنّاسِ عَلَماً وَ اَبانَ فيهِ فَضْلَهُ وَوَصيَّهُ فَصامَ شُكْراً لِلّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ ذلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَ اِنَّهُ لَيَوْمُ صِيامٍ وَاِطْعامٍ وَصِلَةِ الاِخْوانِ وَ فيهِ مَرْضاةُ الرَّحْمنِ، وَ مَرْغَمَةُ الشَّيْطانِ.
وسائل الشيعه7: 328، ضمن حديث12.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
عيد غدير، روزي است كه رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم علي عليه السلام¬را بعنوان پرچمدار براي مردم برافراشت و فضيلت او را در اين روز آشكار كرد و جانشين خود را معرفي كرد، بعد بعنوان سپاسگزاري از خداي بزرگ آن روزه را روزه گرفت و آن روز، روز روزه داري و عبادت و طعام دادن و به ديدار برادران ديني رفتن است. آنروز روز كسب خشنودي خداي مهربان و به خاك ماليدن بيني شيطان است.
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) said :
Ghadir feast is the day in which the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) appointed Ali (peace be up on him) as the standard-bearer for people and explained his virtue on this day and introduced his successor . He observed fasting on this day as thanksgiving to God . And this day is a day of fasting , worship , feeding and meeting brothers and sisters in religion . This day is the day of acquisition of God�s satisfaction and rubbing Satan�s nose on the dust .
Vasail us Shia 7 : 328 , within Hadith 12
عَنْ اَميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ(ع) قالَ:
... اِذا تَلاقَيْتُمْ فَتُصافِحُوا بِالتَّسْليمِ وَ تَهابُوا النَّعْمَةَ فِى هذَا الْيَوْمِ، وَ لِيُبَلِّغِ الْحاضِرُ الْغائِبَ، وَالشاهِدُ البايِنَ، وَلِيَعِدِ الْغَنِىُّ الْفَقيرَ وَالْقَوِىُّ عَلَى الضَّعيفِ اَمَرَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(ص) بِذلِكَ.
وسائل الشيعه 327.7
اميرالمؤمنين عليه السلام (در خطبه روز عيد غدير) فرمود:
وقتى كه به همديگر رسيديد همراه سلام، مصافحه كنيد، و در اين روز به يكديگر هديه بدهيد، اين سخنان را هر كه بود و شنيد، به آن كه نبود برساند، توانگر به سراغ مستمند برود، و قدرتمند به ياري ضعيف، پيامبر مرا به اين چيزها امر كرده است.
The commander of the faithful (in the sermon on the day of Ghadir khom) said :

عَنْ اَميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ(ع) قالَ:
... فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ تَكَفَّلَ عَدَداً مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنينَ وَالْمُؤْمِناتِ وَأَنَا ضَمينُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالى الاَمانَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ.

اميرالمؤمنان عليه السلام فرمود:
... چگونه خواهد بود حال كسي كه عهده دار هزينه زندگي تعدادي از مردان و زنان مؤمن (در روز غدير) باشد، در صورتي كه من پيش خدا ضامنم كه از كفر و تنگدستي در امان باشد.
The commander of the faithful (the title of Imam Ali) said :
�How would be the condition of one who take the responsibility of the expenses of some believing men and women (on the day of Ghadir) , while I give the assurance of protection from blasphemy and poverty . �
Vasail ul Shia 7 : 327
قالَ اَبُو عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع):
... هُوَ يَوْمُ عِبادَةٍ وَ صَلوةٍ وَ شُكْرٍ لِلّهِ وَ حَمْدٍ لَهُ، وَ سُرُورٍ لِما مَنَّ اللّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ وِلايَتِنا، وَ اِنِّي اُحِبُّ لَكُمْ اَنْ تَصُومُوهُ.
وسائل الشيعه7: 328، ح13.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
عيد غدير، روز عبادت و نماز و سپاس و ستايش خداست و روز سرور و شادي است به خاطر ولايت ما خاندان كه خدا بر شما منت گذارد و من دوست دارم كه شما آن روز را روزه بگيريد.
Imam Sadeq (peace beup on him) said :
�Ghadir feast is the day of worship , prayer , thanks-giving and praise of God and also the day of delight and merry-making because of God blessed you with our Guardianship . I wish you to observe fasting this day . �
Vasail ul Shia 7 : 328 , Number of Tradition 13
عَنْ الصّادِقِ(ع):
... وَلَدِرْهَمٌ فيهِ بِأَلْفِ دِرْهَمٍ لإخْوانِكَ الْعارِفينَ، فَأَفْضِلْ عَلى اِخْوانِكَ فِي هَذا الْيَوْمِ وَ سُرْ فيهِ كُلَّ مُؤْمنٍ وَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ.
مصباح المتهجد:737.
از امام صادق عليه السلام نقل شده كه فرمود:
يك درهم به برادران با ايمان و معرفت، دادن در روز عيد غدير برابر هزار درهم است، بنابراين در اين روز به برادرانت انفاق كن و هر مرد و زن مؤمن را شاد گردان.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�Giving away one dirham to a believer brother who knows (the significance of the day) on the day of Ghadir feast is equal to donation of one thousand dirhams . So do spend on your brothers on the day of Ghadir and make any believer men and women happy . �
Misbahul Mutahajjid : 737
قالَ اَبُو عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع):
اِنَّهُ يَوْمُ عيدٍ وَ فَرَحٍ وَ سُرُورٍ وَ يَوْمُ صَوْمٍ شُكْراً لِلّهِ تَعالى.
وسائل الشيعه7: 326، ح10.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
عيد غدير، روز عيد و خوشي و شادي است و روز روزه داري به عنوان سپاس نعمت الهي است.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�Day of Ghadir is a festival day; A day of joy and happiness . Ad it is the day of fasting expressing gratitude to the divine blessing . �

قالَ عَلىٌّ)ع):
عُودُوا رَحِمَكُمُ اللّهُ بَعْدَ اِنْقِضاءِ مَجْمَعِكُمْ بِالتَّوْسِعَةِ عَلى عِيالِكُمْ، وَالبِرِّ بِاِخْوانِكُمْ وَالشُّكْرِ لِلّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ عَلَى ما مَنَحَكُمْ، وَاجْتَمِعُوا يَجْمَعِ اللّهُ شَمْلَكُمْ، وَتُبارُّوا يَصِلِ اللّهُ اُلْفَتَكُمْ، وَتُهانِؤا نِعمَةَ اللّهِ كَما هَنَّاكُمُ اللّهُ بِالثَّوابِ فيهِ عَلى أَضْعافِ الاَعْيادِ قَبْلَهُ وَ بَعْدَهُ اِلاّ فِي مِثْلِهِ...
بحارالانوار97: 117.
على عليه السلام فرمود:
بعد از پايان گردهم آيي خود (در روز غدير) به خانه برگرديد، خدا بر شما رحمت فرستد. به خانواده خود گشايش و توسعه دهيد، به برادران خود نيكي كنيد، خداوند را بر اين نعمت كه شمارا بخشيده است، سپاس گزاريد، متحد شويد تا خدا به شما وحدت بخشد، نيكويي كنيد تا خدا دوستيتان را پايدار كند، به همديگر نعمت خدا را تبريك بگوئيد، همانطور كه خداوند در اين روز با چندين برابر عيدهاي ديگر پاداش دادن به شما تبريك گفته، اين گونه پاداشها جز در روز عيد غدير نخواهد بود.
Ali (peace be up on him) said :
�"When this assembly finishes , all of you will return to your homes . God has mercy on you , Share the blessings with your family and friends . Thank God for this blessing that he has bestowed upon you . Do associate with family so that the Lord helps you more . Do favors to friends that the Lord makes your friendship permanent . May Lord reward you in manifolds . You will not find another blessing similar to this [day of Ghadir] in other days . �

رَوَى الْحَسَنُ بْنُ راشِدٍ عَنْ اَبِى عَبْدِاللّهِ)ع )قالَ:
قُلْتُ: جُعِلْتُ فِداكَ، لِلْمُسْلِمينَ عيدٌ غَيْرَالْعيدَين؟ قالَ: نَعَم، يا حَسَنُ! اَعْظَمُهُما وَ اَشْرَفُهُما، قالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ: وَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ؟ قالَ: يَوْمٌ نُصِبَ اَميرُالْمُؤْمِنينَ فيهِ عَلَماً لِلنّاسِ. قُلْتُ لَهُ: جُعِلْتُ فِداكَ وَما يَنْبَغِى لَنا اَنْ نَصْنَعَ فِيهِ؟ قالَ: تَصُومُهُ يا حَسَنُ وَ تَكْثُرُ الصَّلَوةَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فيهِ وَتَتَبَّرأ اِلَى اللّهِ، مِمَّنْ ظَلَمَهُمْ، فَاِنَّ الاَنْبِياءَ كانَتْ تَأمُرُ الاَوْصِياءَ بِالْيَوْم الَّذى كانَ يُقامُ فيه الْوَصِىُّ اَنْ يُتَّخَذَ عيداً.
مصباح المتهجد: 680.
حسن بن راشد گويد:
به امام صادق عليه السلام گفتم: آيا مسلمانان بجز آن دو عيد، عيد ديگري هم دارند؟ فرمود: بله، بزرگترين و بهترين عيد. گفتم: كدام روز است؟ فرمود: روزي كه اميرمؤمنان بعنوان پرچمدار مردم منصوب شد.
گفتم: فدايت شوم در آن روز سزاوار است، چه كنيم؟ فرمود: روزه بگير و درود برمحمد و آل او بفرست و از ستمگران به آنان برائت بجوي، زيرا پيامبران به جانشينان دستور مي دادند كه روزي را كه جانشين انتخاب مي شود، عيد
بگيرند.
Hussien ibnu Raashid said :
I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) : �Do Muslims have any other feast other than those two feasts?�
He replied : �Yes , the bigger and the greater than them . �
I asked him : �Which day?�
He replied : �The day in which the commander of the faithful (Imam Ali; peace be up on him) was appointed as the Leader of people . � I told him : �Dear sir , what should we do on this day . �
He replied : �Observe fasting , Sing the praise of the Holy Prophet and his clan . Seek renunciation from tyrants who do injustice to them . Because the Prophets commanded their successors to celebrate the day in which the successor is chosen . �
Mesbahel motehajjed : 680
عَنْ اَبِى عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع) قالَ:
... تَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ عَزَّ ذِكْرُهُ فيهِ بِالصّيامِ وَالْعِبادَةِ وَالذِّكْرِ لُِمحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، فَاِنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ اَوْصى اَميرَالْمُؤْمِنينَ اَنْ يَتَّخِذَ ذلِكَ الْيَوْمَ عيداً، وَكَذلِكَ كانَتِ الاَنْبِياءُ تَفْعَلُ، كانُوا يُوصُونَ أَوْصِيائَهُمْ بِذلِكَ فَيَتَّخِذُونَهُ عيداً.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
در روز عيدِ غدير، خدا را با روزه و عبادت و ياد پيامبر و خاندان او يادآوري كنيد، زيرا رسول خدا به اميرالمؤمنين سفارش كرد كه آن روز را عيد بگيرد، همينطور پيامبران هم به جانشينان خود سفارش مي كردند كه آن روز را عيد بگيرند، آنان هم چنين مي كردند.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�Remember the Lord by observing fasting , worship and remembrance of the Prophet and his clan on the day of Ghadir , because the Messenger of God recommended to the commander of the faithful to observe fasting on this day as the other Prophets too recommended their successors celebrate it and they too did so . �
Vasaelo shia 7 : 327 , number of tradition 1
عَنْ اَبى عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع) قالَ:
وَالْعَمَلُ فيهِ يَعْدِلُ ثَمانينَ شَهْراً، وَ يَنْبغي اَنْ يَكْثُرَ فِيهِ ذِكْرَ اللّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ، وَالصّلَوةَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ، وَيُوَسِّعَ الرَّجُلُ فيهِ عَلَى عِيالِهِ.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
ارزش عمل در آن روز (عيد غدير) برابر با هشتاد ماه است، و شايسته است آن روز ذكر خدا و درود بر پيامبر صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم زياد شود، و مرد، بر خانواده خود توسعه دهد.
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) said :
The value of the deed in this day (Qadir feast) is equal to eighty months and it is appropriate that the remembrance of the lord and praising up on prophet be increased in this day and the man expand to his family .

عَنْ مَوْلانا اَبىِ الْحَسَنِ عَلىِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ(ع) قالَ لاَبى اِسْحاقَ:
وَيَومَ الْغَديرٍ فيهِ اَقامَ النَّبيُّ أَخاهُ عَلِيّاً عَلَماً لِلنَّاسِ وَاِماماً مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، [قالَ] قُلْتُ: صَدَقْتَ جُعِلْتُ فِداكَ، لِذلِكَ قَصَدْتُ، اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ حُجَّةُ اللّهِ عَلى خَلْقِهِ.

امام هادى عليه السلام به ابواسحاق فرمود:
در روز غدير پيامبر اكرم صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم برادرش علي عليه السلام را بلند كرد و به عنوان پرچمدار (و فرمانده) مردم و پيشواي بعد از خودش معرفي كرد.
ابواسحاق گفت: عرض كردم، فدايت شوم راست فرمودي. به خاطر همين به زيارت و ديدار شما آمدم، گواهي مي دهم كه تو حجت خدا بر مردم هستي.
Imam Hadi (peace be up on him) commanded to Abu Ishaq that :
�On the day of Ghadir , the holy Prophet (peace be up on him) raised his brother Ali�s hand and introduced him as the standard-bearer to people and the leader after him .
Abu Ishaq said : �Dear sir , what you said is right . Because of this only I have come to meet you and I attest that you are the authentication of God over people . �

عَنْ عَلىِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضا(ع):
مَنْ زارِ فيهِ مُؤْمِناً أَدْخَلَ اللّهُ قَبْرَهُ سَبْعيِنَ نُوراً وَوَسَّعَ في قَبْرِهِ وَ يَزُورُ قَبْرَهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ وَيُبَشِّرُونَهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ.
اقبال الاعمال:778.
امام رضا عليه السلام فرمود:
كسي كه در روز (غدير) مؤمني را ديدار كند، خداوند هفتاد نور بر قبر او وارد مي¬كند و قبرش را توسعه مي دهد و هر روز هفتاد هزار فرشته قبر او را زيارت مي كنند و او را به بهشت بشارت مي دهند.
Imam Reza (peace be up on him) said :
�One who visits a believer on this day , the Lord will send down seventy illuminations in to his grave , He will expand his grave and seventy thousand angles will visit his grave in order to give him glad tiding of the paradise . �
"Iqbal A?amal : 778 . "
قالَ الصّادِقُ(ع):
يَنْبَغى لَكُمْ اَنْ تَتَقَرَّبُوا اِلَى اللّهِ تَعالى بِالْبِرِّ وَالصَّوْمِ وَالصَّلَوةِ وَصِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَصِلَةِ الاِخْوانِ، فَاِنَّ الاَنْبِياءَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ كانُوا اِذا اَقامُوا اَوْصِياءَهُمْ فَعَلُوا ذلكَ وَ اَمَرُوا بِهِ.
مصباح المتهجد:736.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
شايسته است با نيكي كردن به ديگران و روزه و نماز و بجا آوردن صله رحم و ديدار برادران ايماني به خدا نزديك شويد، زيرا پيامبران زماني كه جانشينان خود را نصب مي¬ كردند، چنين مي كردند و به آن توصيه مي فرمودند.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�It is essential that you come closer to the God by doing good to others , fasting , praying and fostering family relationship and fraternity in belief , since the Prophets did these so when they appointed their successors and they in turn recommended this to others . �
"Mesbahel Motehajed : 736 . "
عَنْ اَبىِ عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع) قالَ:
اِنَّهُ تَسْتَحِبُّ الصَّلوةُ فى مَسْجِدِ الْغَديرِ لاَنَّ النَّبِىَّ اَقامَ فيهِ اَميرَ الْمُؤْمِنينَ(ع) وَ هُوَ مَوْضِعٌ اَظْهَرَ اللّهُ عَزَّوَجَلَّ فيهِ الْحَقَّ.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
نماز خواندن در مسجد غدير مستحب است، چون پيامبر اكرم صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم در آنجا اميرمؤمنان عليه السلام را معرفي و منصوب كرد. و آنجايي است كه خداي بزرگ، حق را آشكار كرد.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�Saying prayers in the Ghadir mosque is recommended because the holy Prophet (peace be up on him) introduced and appointed the commander of the faithful (peace be up on him) at this venue . And in this place the God Almighty manifested the truth . �

عَنْ اَبىِ عَبْدِاللّهِ(ع) قالَ:
وَ مَنْ صَلّى فيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ اَىَّ وَقْتٍ شاءَ وَ اَفْضَلُهُ قُرْبَ الزَّوالِ وَهِيَ السَّاعَةُ الَّتي اُقيمَ فيها اَميرُ الْمُؤْمِنينَ(ع) بِغَديرِ خُمٍّ عَلَماً لِلنَّاسِ و... كانَ كَمَنْ حَضَرَ ذلِكَ الْيَوْمَ...

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
كسي كه در روز عيد غدير هر ساعتي كه خواست، دو ركعت نماز بخواند و بهتر اينست كه نزديك ظهر باشد كه آن ساعتي است كه اميرالمؤمنين عليه السلام در آن ساعت در غدير خم به امامت منصوب شد، (هر كه چنين كند) همانند كسي است كه در آن روز حضور پيدا كرده است...
Imam Sadeq (peace be up on him) said :
�Offering two Rak�at (units) of prayer at any time of this day he wishes , preferably close to noon , the time in which the commander of the faithful (Imam Ali; peace be up on him) was declared as appointed to Imamate , is similar to have been present on the day at Ghadir . �

قالَ الصّادِقُ(ع):
صِيامُ يَوْمَ غَديرِ خُمٍّ يَعْدِلُ صِيامَ عُمْرِ الدُّنْيا لَوْ عاشَ اِنْسانٌ ثُمَّ صامَ ما عَمَرتِ الدُّنْيا لَكانَ لَهُ ثَوابُ ذلِكَ.

امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
روزه روز غدير خم با روزه تمام عمر جهان برابر است. يعني اگر انساني هميشه زنده باشد و همه عمر را روزه بگيرد، ثواب او به اندازه ثواب روزه عيد غدير است.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�Fasting on the day of Ghadir is equal to fasting all the days of one�s life . If a person observes fasting all of his life time , his reward is same as that of who observed fasting on this day . �

عَنِ الرِّضا(ع) قالَ:
... وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ التَهْنِئَةِ يُهَنِّئُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً، فَاِذا لَقِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ أخاهُ يَقُولُ: ”اَلْحَمْدُللّهِ الَّذى جَعَلَنا مِنَ الْمُتَمَسِّكينَ بِوِلايَةِ أميرِالْمُؤْمِنينِ وَالاَئِمَّةِ: “ وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ التَّبَسُّمِ فى وُجُوهِ النَّاسِ مِنْ اَهْلِ الاِيمانِ...
اقبال:464.
امام رضا عليه السلام فرمود:
عيد غدير روز تبريك و تهنيت است. هر يك به ديگري تبريك بگويد، هر وقت مؤمني برادرش را ملاقات كرد، چنين بگويد: “حمد و ستايش خدايي را كه به ما توفيق چنگ زدن به ولايت اميرمؤمنان و پيشوايان عطا كرد” آري عيد غدير روز لبخند زدن به چهره مردم با ايمان است...
Imam Reza (peace be up on him) said :
Ghadir feast is the day of exchanging greetings . When a believer meets his brother , he should say : �Praise belong to the Lord who has granted us the grace of holding fast the guardianship of the commander of the faithful . � Yes , Ghadir festival is the joyous day of that make the faces of believers more pleasant .

عَنْ اَبىِ سَعيدٍ قالَ:
لَمَّا كانَ يَوْمُ غَديرِ خُمٍّ اَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ مُنادياً فَنادى: اَلصَّلوةُ جامِعَةٌ، فَاَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَلِىٍّ(ع) وَقالَ: اَللَّهُمَّ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلاهُ، اَللَّهُمَّ والِ مَنْ والاهُ، وَعادِ مَنْ عاداهُ.

ابو سعيد گويد:
در روز غدير خم رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم دستور داد: منادي ندا دهد كه: براي نماز جمع شويد. بعد دست علي عليه السلام را گرفت و بلند كرد و فرمود: خدايا كسي كه من مولاي اويم پس علي هم مولاي اوست، خدايا دوست بدار كسي را كه علي را دوست بدارد و دشمن بدار كسي را كه با علي دشمني كند.
Abu Saeed said :
�On the day of Ghadir , the Messenger of God (peace be up on him) commanded a caller who called the people : �Gather for prayer . �
Then Prophet (PBUH) held up the hand of Ali and declared : "O God! , Whoever I am his leader (Mawla) , Ali is his leader (Mawla) . O' God , Love those who love him , and be hostile to those who are hostile to him . "
"Baharol anvar 37 : 112 , number of tradition 4 . "
قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ)ص):
مَنْ يُريدُ اَنْ يَحْيى حَياتِي، وَ يَمُوتَ مَماتِي، وَيَسْكُنَ جَنَّةَ الْخُلْدِ الَّتي وَعَدَني رَبّي فَلْيَتَوَلِّ عَلِيَّ ابْنَ اَبِي طالِبٍ،(ع) فَاِنَّهُ لَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ هُدىً، وَلَنْ يُدْخِلَكُمْ فى ضَلالَةٍ.
الغدير 278:10
رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم فرمود:
كسي كه مي خواهد زندگي و مرگش همانند من باشد و در بهشت جاودانه اي كه پروردگارم به من وعده كرده، ساكن شود، ولايت علي بن ابي طالب عليه السلام را انتخاب كند، زيرا او هرگز شما را از راه هدايت بيرون نبرده، به گمراهي نمي كشاند.
The Messenger of God (peace be up on him) said :
�Those who wish a life similar to that of mine and death similar to my death and enter the immortal Paradise that my Lord has promised to me , should follow the guardianship of Ali ibnu Abi Talib . Because , he will never allow you go away from the right path and will never lead you towards astray .
" Al Ghadir 10 : 278 . "
عَنْ جابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللّهِ الاَنْصارى قالَ:
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ(ص) يَقُولُ لِعَليِّ بْنِ اَبى طالِبٍ: يا عَليُّ! اَنْتَ اَخي وَوَصيّي وَوارِثي وَخَليفَتي عَلى اُمَّتي في حَيوتي وَ بَعْدَ وَفاتي مُحِبُّكَ مُحِبّي وَمُبْغِضُكَ مُبْغِضِي وَعَدُوُّكَ عَدُوِّي.
امالى صدوق: 124، ح5.
جابربن عبداللّه انصارى مى گويد:
از رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم شنيدم كه به علي بن ابي طالب عليه السلام فرمود: اي علي، تو برادر و وصي و وارث و جانشين من در ميان امت من در زمان حيات و بعد از مرگ مني. دوستدار تو دوستدار من و دشمن و كينه توز تو دشمن من است.
Jabir ibnu Abdullah al-ansari says :
�I heard the Messenger of God (peace be up on him) saying to Ali ibnu Abitalib that :
�O Ali! You are my brother , successor , heir to my nation during my life time and after my death . The one who loves you , loves me , and your enemy is my enemy . �
" Amali , Sadooq : 124 , number of tradition 5 . "
عَنْ اَبِى جَعْفَرٍ(ع) قالَ:
بُنِىَ الاِسْلامُ عَلى خَمْسٍ:
اَلصَّلوةِ والزَّكوةِ وَالصَّوْمِ وَالْحَجِّ وَالْوِلايَةِ وَلَمْ يُنادَ بِشَيءٍ مانُودِيَ بِالْوِلايَةِ يَوْمَ الْغَديرِ.
كافى 2، 21، ح8.
امام باقر عليه السلام فرمود:
اسلام بر پنج پايه استوار شده است:
نماز، زكات، روزه، حجّ و ولايت و به هيچ چيز به اندازه آنچه در روز غدير به ولايت تأكيد شده، ندا نشده است.
Imam Baqir(peace be up on him) said :
�Islam is built up on five pillars : prayer , Zakat (poor due) , fasting , Haj (pilgrimage to Mecca) and Guardianship (vilayat) . And none of these is emphasized as much as the guardianship on the day of Ghadir .

عَنْ اَبِى الْحَسَنِ(ع) قالَ:
وِلايَةُ عَلِيٍّ(ع) مَكْتُوبَةٌ فى صُحُفِ جَميعِ الاَنْبياءِ وَلَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللّهُ رَسُولاً اِلاَّ بِنُبُوَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَوَصِيَّةِ عَلىٍّ(ع).
سفينة البحار 691:2
امام كاظم عليه السلام فرمود:
ولايت علي عليه السلام در كتابهاي همه پيامبران ثبت شده است و هيچ پيامبري مبعوث نشد، مگر با ميثاق نبوت محمد صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم و امامت علي عليه السلام.
Imam Kazim (peace be up on him) said :
�Ali�s guardianship has been recorded on the books of all the prophets . And no prophet was appointed unless with covenant of the Prophethood of Muhammed (PBUH) and the Imamate of Ali (peace be up on him) .

قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ(ص):
وِلايَةُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبى طالِبٍ وِلايَةُ اللّهِ وَحُبُّهُ عِبادَةُ اللّهِ وَاتِّباعُهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللّهِ وَاَوْلياؤُهُ اَوْلِياءُ اللّهِ وَاَعْداؤُهُ اَعْداءُ اللّهِ وَحَرْبُهُ حَرْبُ اللّهِ وَسِلْمُهُ سِلْمُ اللّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
امالى صدوق:32.
رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم فرمود:
ولايت علي بن ابيطالب عليه السلام ولايت خداست، دوست داشتن او عبادت خداست، پيروي كردن او واجب الهي است و دوستان او دوستان خدا و دشمنان او دشمنان خدايند، جنگ با او، جنگ با خدا و صلح با او، صلح با خداي متعال است.
The Messenger of God (peace be up on him) said :
�The Guardianship of Ali ibnu Abitalib is God�s guardianship , loving him is part of worship , following him is religious duty , his friends are God�s friends and his enemies are God�s enemies . Fighting with him is fighting with God and conciliation with him is conciliation with the Exalted God .

عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ اَبيهِ(ع) قالَ:
اِنَّ اِبْليسَ عَدُوُّ اللّهِ رَنَّ اَرْبَعَ رَنَّاتٍ: يَوْمَ لُعِنَ، وَ يَوْمَ اُهْبِطَ اِلَى الاَرْضِ، وَ يَوْمَ بُعِثَ النَّبِىُّ وَ يَوْمَ الْغَديرِ.
قرب الاسناد:10.
امام صادق عليه السلام از پدر بزرگوارش امام باقر عليه السلام نقل كرد كه فرمود:
شيطان دشمن خدا چهار بار ناله كرد: روزي كه مورد لعن خدا واقع شد و روزي كه به زمين هُبوط كرد و روزي كه پيامبر اكرم صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم مبعوث شد و روز عيد غدير.
Imam Baqir (peace be up on him) narrated from his noble father , Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) to have said :
�Satan , enemy of God , groaned four times in utter desperation : on the day that he was cursed by God , The day he was sent down to the earth , the day the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was appointed as Prophet and on the day of Ghadir .
"Qarbol Asnad : 10 . "
عَنِ النَّبىِّ(ص):
يَقُولُ اللّهُ تَبارَكَ وَتَعالى: وِلايَةُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبي طالِبٍ حِصْني، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ حِصْني أَمِنَ مِنْ ناري.
جامع الاخبار: 52، ح7.
پيامبر اكرم صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم فرمود:
خداوند مي فرمايد: ولايت علي بن ابيطالب دژ محكم من است، پس هر كس داخل قلعه من گردد، از آتش دوزخم محفوظ خواهد بود.
The Holy Prophet (peace be up on him) said :
�The God says : Guardianship of Ali ibnu Abitalib is my fortress and who enters into my fortress , will be protected from the hell fire . �
"Jameol Akhbar : 52 , number of tradition 7 . "
قالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ(ص):
يا عَليُّ اَنَا مَدينَةُ الْعِلْمِ وَ اَنْتَ بابُها وَ لَنْ تُؤتَى الْمَدينَةَ اِلاَّ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْباب... اَنْتَ اِمامُ اُمَّتي وَ خَليفَتي عَلَيْها بَعْدي، سَعَدَ مَنْ اَطاعَكَ وَ شَقِيَ مَنْ عَصاكَ، وَرَبِحَ مَنْ تَوَلاَّكَ وَخَسِرَ مَنْ عاداكَ.
جامع الاخبار: 52، ح 9.
رسول خدا صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم فرمود:
اي علي من شهر علمم و تو درب آن هستي، به شهر جز از راه درب آن وارد نشوند. ... تو پيشواي امّت من و جانشين من در اين شهري، كسي كه اطاعت تو كند سعادتمند است، و كسي كه تو را نافرماني كند، بدبخت است، و دوستدار تو سود برده و دشمن تو زيان كرده است.
The Messenger of God (peace be up on him) said :
�O Ali! I am city of knowledge and you are its door . All should enter to this city through its doorway� You are leader of my nation and my successor to them . One who obeys you will be prosperous and one who disobeys you shall be doomed . One who loves you is successful and the one who become your enemy sustains loss .

قالَ الصّادِقُ(ع):
اَثافِيُّ الاِسْلامِ ثَلاثَةٌ:
الصَّلوةُ وَالزَّكوةُ وَالْوِلايَةُ، لاتَصِحُّ واحِدَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ اِلاَّ بِصاحِبَتَيْها.
كافى: 2، ص18.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
سنگهاى زيربناي اسلام سه چيز است:
نماز، زكات و ولايت كه هيچ يك از آنها بدون ديگري درست نمي شود.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
Foundation stones of Islam are three . They are : Prayer , Zakat (poor due) and Guardianship (vilayat) . None of them will be recognized without others .

قالَ اَبُو عَبْدِ اللّهِ عليه السلام :
اَلْعَجَبُ يا حَفْصُ لِما لَقِيَ عَليُّ بْنُ اَبيطالِبٍ!! اِنَّهُ كانَ لَهُ عَشْرَةَ الآفِ شاهِدٍ لَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلى اَخْذِ حَقّهِ وَالرَّجُلُ يَأْخُذُ حَقَّهُ بِشاهِدَيْنِ.
بحارالانوار: 37،140.
امام صادق عليه السلام فرمود:
اي حفص! شگفتا از آنچه علي بن ابي طالب عليه السلام با آن مواجه شد! او با ده هزار شاهد و گواه (در روز غدير) نتوانست حق خود را بگيرد، در حالي كه شخص با دو شاهد حقّ خود را مي گيرد.
Imam Sadiq (peace be up on him) said :
�O Hafs! How startling what Ali ibnu Abitalib faced with . He couldn�t secure his own right despite having ten thousand witnesses (on the day of Ghadir) while an ordinary person by producing two witnesses can secure his right .

عَنِ النَّبِىِّ(ص) فى اِحْتِجاجِهِ يَوْمَ الْغَديرِ:
عليٌّ تَفْسيرُ كِتابِ اللّهِ، وَالدَّاعي اِلَيْهِ، اَلا وَاِنَّ الْحَلالَ وَالْحَرامَ اَكْثَرُ مِنْ أَنْ اُحْصيهِما وَاُعَرِّفَهُما، فَآمُرُ بِالْحَلالِ وَ أَنْهى عَنِ الْحَرامِ في مَقامٍ واحِدٍ، فَأُمِرْتُ أنْ آخُذَ الْبَيْعَةَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَالصَّفْقَةً مِنْكُمْ، بِقَبُولِ ما جِئْتُ بِهِ عَنِ اللّهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ في عَليٍّ اَميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ وَالاَئِمَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، مَعاشِرَ النَّاسِ تَدَبَّرُوا وَافْهَمُوا آياتَهُ، وَانْظُروا فِي مُحْكَماتِهِ وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا مُتَشابِهَهُ، فَوَاللّهِ لَنْ يُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ زَواجِرَهُ، وَلايُوضِعَ لَكُمْ عَنْ تَفْسيرِهِ اِلاَّ الَّذي اَنَا آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ.

پيامبراكرم صلي الله عليه و آله و سلم روز عيد غدير فرمود:
علي عليه السلام تفسير كتاب خدا، و دعوت كننده به سوي خداست، آگاه باشيد كه حلال و حرام بيش از آنست كه من معرفي و به آنها امر و نهي كنم و بشمارم. پس دستور داشتم كه از شما عهد و پيمان بگيرم كه آنچه را در مورد علي اميرمؤمنان، و پيشوايان بعد او از طرف خداوند بزرگ آوردم، بپذيريد.
اي مردم! انديشه كنيد و آيات الهي¬را بفهميد، در محكمات آن دقت كنيد و متشابهات آن را دنبال نكنيد. به خدا قسم هرگز كسي نداهاي قرآن را نمي تواند بيان كند و تفسير آن را روشن كند، جز آن كسي كه من دست او را گرفته ام (و او را معرفي
كردم).
The Holy Prophet (peace be up on him) said on the day of Ghadir :
�Ali , is an authority to explain the holy Book of God . And he is a caller toward the God . Be aware that lawful and unlawful matters are more than what I have introduced and commanded to you . I have been commanded to take covenant and allegiance from you to accept what I have brought from the Great Lord about and the Imams after him .
�O People! Do ponder and understand divine verses . Pay close attention to its clear verses and do not follow allegorical ones . Swear to God that no one can decode the Messages of Qur�an and explain it more profoundly than the one whose hand is held up by me . �
